Er....select the backup file(s) and press the delete key. Of course, I tried deleting them in the program and through windows explorer. I just got a message saying But when I got a new Vista PC, I ended up reformatting my external drive to match the file system in Vista... so I got rid of them that way. Laurie.

Well I have Tiger on one of my macs, Leopard on the other one and XPProSP2 on several computers (including on my mac pro), vista on my home machine I haven't set up Time Machine yet because I don't have a hard drive to do it with yet, but I use a program SuperDuper! which gives me a bootable system backup. dick.

Will it run on the new Vista system? What version of Quicken? If you are using Quicken 2006 or later, you should be fine. The Quicken user files go into different places than expected. Its default backup location is a sub-folder of Documents but you can backup to additional locations manually.

I am, nor is she concerned about transferring her Outlook Express data to the new Vista PC. I realize I can create a Profile for her in Outlook....and we can .... ...make a duplicate of Outlook 2002 and move it to the New PC's Outlook 2007.
